Diagnostics
Many of the services we offer are straight forward flat rate services. For issues that aren’t straight forward or require troubleshooting to determine the root issue we recommend starting with our diagnostic service.
Our diagnostic rate is $65 per hour, often diagnostics can be completed within a 1/2 hour ($32.50 minimum)
- First, we inspect your computer for hardware damage or failure. For devices with indications of a hardware problem we investigate system errors and address potential software conflicts. Once diagnostics is completed your system we provide a recommendation to resolve your issues.
- Once we evaluate your system, should we determine that hardware has failed we will offer a recommendation to either repair your device or replace your system. We provide an estimate or the repair and you may choose to complete the repair or pay the diagnostic fee.
- If after diagnostics we come to the conclusion that software is causing a conflict within your system we will recommend services that will correct the problem. Often times computer issues or errors are software problems that do not require part or computer replacement. If you decide not to repair the device you will be required to pay only the diagnostic fee.
Will there be a charge for diagnostics?
While we offer free estimates, if your issue requires troubleshooting to determine the root cause we have a minimum 1/2 service charge ($32.50). We will always attempt to provide you with an accurate estimate of expected costs for repairs based on the information provided to us. While we don’t offer free support services we do offer many resources throughout our website that users find helpful when troubleshooting their own equipment. Once we go through the process of checking your device in we ask all customers to sign an agreement that includes our minimum diagnostic fee.

Can diagnostics be done in my home or office?
In most cases on-site is recommended only after we have done initial diagnostics and troubleshooting in our office. This helps us to determine if the issue can be narrowed down to a device or connection that is only being used in your residence or business.
If you are unable to bring in your device and you have high-speed internet access we may at our discretion offer remote-support diagnostics. For convenience, we offer local drop-off and pick-up services for an additional fee.
If you are experiencing issues with a wireless printer or home network on-site services on-site troubleshooting may be required.
